North Panola Cougars (Sardis, MS) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Independence Wildcats (Independence, MS), 60-39 in a league bout.

With the win, North Panola upgrades its record to 19-5 on the season.

Next up, the Wildcats play the Byhalia Indians (Byhalia, MS) in a 3A Region 2 bout, on Saturday, February 4. Independence will attempt to upgrade on its 5-12 season record.
