North Carolina High School Basketball - Bertie holds off South Creek
February 3, 2023: Windsor, NC 27983 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Bertie Falcons (Windsor, NC) and the visiting South Creek Cougars (Robersonville, NC), saw Bertie's basketball squad hold off South Creek by a tally of 1-0.
With the victory, Bertie improves its record to 6-11 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Perquimans (Hertford, NC) to confront the Pirates in a 1A Conference 2 challenge on Tuesday, February 7. The Pirates come into the challenge with a record of 17-2. Perquimans won 61-47 in their recent league challenge against Tarboro (Tarboro, NC)
Next up, the Cougars confront the Tarboro Vikings (Tarboro, NC) in a 1A Conference 2 challenge, on Tuesday, February 7. South Creek will attempt to improve on its 0-16 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 10-8 record after their 61-47 league loss to Perquimans (Hertford, NC).
