The Topsail Pirates (Hampstead, NC) basketball knocked off the visiting New Hanover Wildcats (Wilmington, NC), 55-37 in Friday's league test.

The Pirates (17-5) will now prepare for their test against Ashley (Wilmington, NC). The Screaming Eagle go into the 3A/4A Conference 20 test with a 15-5 record. In their last test, Ashley went down by Hoggard (Wilmington, NC), 50-43, in a league test.
