New Mexico High School Basketball - Taos nips Los Alamos
February 3, 2024: Los Alamos, NM 87544 Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Taos Tigers (Taos, NM) and the host Los Alamos Hilltoppers (Los Alamos, NM), saw Taos's basketball squad hold off Los Alamos by a tally of 48-44.
With the victory, Taos improves its record to 9-12 on the campaign. The Tigers host Espanola Valley (Espanola, NM) to play the Sundevils in a 4A District 2 challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Sundevils come into the challenge with a record of 9-12. Espanola Valley won 54-45 in their recent league challenge against Los Alamos (Los Alamos, NM)
Next up, the Hilltoppers play the Pojoaque Valley Elks/Elkettes (Pojoaque, NM) in a 4A District 2 challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Los Alamos will attempt to improve on its 6-14 season record. The Elks/Elkettes come into the challenge with a 10-11 record after their 51-48 league loss to Moriarty (Moriarty, NM).
