Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the New Iberia Yellowjackets (New Iberia, LA) and the host Westgate Tigers (New Iberia, LA), saw New Iberia's basketball squad wallop Westgate by a count of 71-36.

With the victory, New Iberia upgrades its record to 23-5 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets host Sam Houston (Lake Charles, LA) to play the Broncos in a 5A District 3 challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Broncos come into the challenge with a record of 16-12. Sam Houston lost 63-54 in their recent league challenge against Barbe (Lake Charles, LA)
