Superior Wildcats (Superior, NE) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting David City Scouts (David City, NE), 55-49 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Superior upgrades its record to 13-7 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Smith Center (Smith Center, KS) to play the Redmen in a non-league bout on Monday, February 5. The Redmen come into the bout with a record of 13-2. Smith Center lost 55-34 in their recent non-league bout against Thomas More Prep-Marian (Hays, KS)

Next up, the Scouts play the Cross County Cougars (Stromsburg, NE) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 5. David City will attempt to upgrade on its 12-6 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 18-2 record after their 54-13 non-league win over High Plains (Polk, NE).
