South Dakota High School Basketball - Huron nips Sturgis Brown
February 3, 2024: Sturgis, SD 57785 Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Huron Tigers (Huron, SD) and the host Sturgis Brown Scoopers (Sturgis, SD), saw Huron's basketball squad hold off Sturgis Brown by a count of 60-54.
With the victory, Huron upgrades its record to 6-8 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Riggs (Pierre, SD) to play the Governors in a AA challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Governors come into the challenge with a record of 10-5. Riggs won 55-29 in their recent league challenge against Yankton (Yankton, SD)
Next up, the Scoopers play the Spearfish Spartans (Spearfish, SD) in a AA challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Sturgis Brown will attempt to upgrade on its 2-10 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 8-5 record after their 52-43 league loss to Mitchell (Mitchell, SD).
