Louisiana High School Basketball - West Monroe can't hold off Sterlington
February 3, 2025: Sterlington, LA 71280 Sterlington Panthers (Sterlington, LA) boosters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting West Monroe Rebels (West Monroe, LA), 43-38 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Sterlington upgrades its record to 18-8 on the year. The Panthers travel to North Webster (Springhill, LA) to face the Knights in a 3A District 1 match on Tuesday, February 4. The Knights enter the match with a record of 12-10. North Webster lost 74-43 in their recent league match against Carroll (Monroe, LA)
The Rebels now sport a 8-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pineville for a 5A District 2 match on Friday, February 7. West Monroe will face a Rebels squad coming off a 29-22 non-league win over Byrd (Shreveport, LA). The Rebels record now stands at 4-11.
