Iowa High School Basketball - Central Lee fells Columbus
February 4, 2023: Donnellson, IA 52625 Central Lee Hawks (Donnellson, IA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Columbus Wildcats (Columbus Junction, IA), 56-44 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Central Lee upgrades its record to 4-13 on the season. The Hawks host Cardinal (Eldon, IA) to clash with the Comets in a SEI - South bout on Monday, February 6. The Comets go into the bout with a record of 1-14. Cardinal lost 70-58 in their recent non-league bout against Keota (Keota, IA)
Next up, the Wildcats clash with the Jesup J-Hawks (Jesup, IA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 6. Columbus will attempt to upgrade on its 2-18 season record. The J-Hawks go into the bout with a 11-7 record after their 65-64 league win over Wapsie Valley (Fairbank, IA).
