Iowa High School Basketball - Winfield-Mt. Union trounces Columbus
December 16, 2022: Winfield, IA 52659 The Winfield-Mt. Union Wolves (Winfield, IA) basketball crushed the visiting Columbus Wildcats (Columbus Junction, IA), 72-18 in Friday's league test.
The Wolves (7-1) will now prepare for their test against Highland (Riverside, IA). The Huskies go into the SEI - North test with a 1-6 record. In their last test, Highland was trounced by Wapello (Wapello, IA), 57-35, in a league test.
The Wildcats now own a 2-8 record. They play next when they host Dike-New Hartford for a non-league test on Friday, December 16. Columbus will encounter a Wolverines squad coming off a 70-51 non-league win over East Marshall (Le Grand, IA). The Wolverines record now stands at 4-3.
