February 4, 2023: Fort Wayne, IN 46802 The Smith Academy Fighting 54th basketball team (Fort Wayne, IN), was toppled 41-27 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Lakeland Christian Academy Cougars (Winona Lake, IN)
The Cougars now possess a 14-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Northfield for a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 7. Lakeland Christian Academy will confront a Norsemen team coming off a 57-41 league loss to Rochester (Rochester, IN). The Norsemen record now stands at 5-12.
The Fighting 54th (4-10) will now prepare for their battle against Hamilton (Hamilton, IN). The Marines come into the non-league battle with a 0-15 record. In their last battle, Hamilton was toppled by Trinity (South Bend, IN), 66-22, in a non-league battle.
