Missouri High School Basketball - Marionville overwhelms Pierce City
February 4, 2023: Marionville, MO 65705 Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Marionville Comets (Marionville, MO) and the visiting Pierce City Eagles (Pierce City, MO), saw Marionville's basketball squad wallop Pierce City by a count of 72-42.
With the victory, Marionville upgrades its record to 19-2 on the campaign. The Comets host Ash Grove (Ash Grove, MO) to play the Pirates in a Southwest challenge on Tuesday, February 7. The Pirates come into the challenge with a record of 13-1. Ash Grove won 67-22 in their recent league challenge against Miller (Miller, MO)
Next up, the Eagles play the Sarcoxie Bears (Sarcoxie, MO) in a Southwest challenge, on Tuesday, February 7. Pierce City will attempt to upgrade on its 4-9 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 7-7 record after their 63-52 non-league loss to Jefferson Independent Day (Joplin, MO).
