The Maumelle Hornets basketball team scored 72 points and restricted the visiting Sylvan Hills Bears to 58 in the Hornets league victory on Saturday.

The Hornets (13-6) will now prepare for their outing against Parkview (Little Rock, AR). The Patriots go into the 5A Central outing with a 10-13 record. In their last outing, Parkview thwarted Jacksonville (Jacksonville, AR), 71-62, in a league outing.

The Bears now own a 9-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Catholic for a 5A Central battle on Wednesday, February 8.
