Georgia High School Basketball - Montgomery County winner over Savannah Classical Academy
February 4, 2023: Savannah, GA 31401 In Saturday's league outing, the Montgomery County Eagles (Mt. Vernon, GA) basketball squad felled the host Savannah Classical Academy Spartans (Savannah, GA), by a margin of 67-58.
The Eagles (9-13) will now prepare for their outing against Telfair County (McRae, GA). The Trojans go into the non-league outing with a 17-4 record. In their last outing, Telfair County was beaten by Bleckley County (Cochran, GA), 82-67, in a non-league outing.
The Spartans now own a 4-14 record. They play next when they travel to Jenkins County for a A D2 Region 3 outing on Tuesday, February 7. Savannah Classical Academy will clash with a War Eagles squad coming off a 67-17 league win over Emanuel County Institute (Twin City, GA). The War Eagles record now stands at 19-4.
