Oregon High School Basketball - Vale nips Umatilla
February 4, 2023: Vale, OR 97918 Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Vale Vikings (Vale, OR) and the visiting Umatilla Vikings (Umatilla, OR), saw Vale's basketball squad hold off Umatilla by a tally of 55-52.
With the victory, Vale improves its record to 12-10 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Nyssa (Nyssa, OR) to play the Bulldogs in a 3A Eastern Oregon challenge on Tuesday, February 7. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 5-12. Nyssa lost 57-49 in their recent league challenge against McLoughlin (Milton-Freewater, OR)
Next up, the Vikings play the McLoughlin Pioneers (Milton-Freewater, OR) in a 3A Eastern Oregon challenge, on Thursday, February 9. Umatilla will attempt to improve on its 7-14 season record.
