The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Valley Christian Trojans (Chandler, AZ) and the visiting Apache Junction Prospectors (Apache Junction, AZ), observed Valley Christian's basketball team overwhelm Apache Junction by a score of 80-44.

The Trojans (21-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Florence (Florence, AZ). The Gophers come into the 3A Central challenge with a 23-2 record. In their last challenge, Florence trounced Coolidge (Coolidge, AZ), 57-48, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Prospectors encounter the Globe Tigers (Globe, AZ) in a 3A Central challenge, on Thursday, February 6. Apache Junction will attempt to improve on its 7-20 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 14-13 record after their 78-53 league loss to Seton Catholic (Chandler, AZ).
