Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Austin bested by Smethport
February 4, 2025: Smethport, PA 16749 Smethport Hubbers (Smethport, PA) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the visiting Austin Panthers (Austin, PA), 46-34 in a league match.
With the victory, Smethport advances its record to 2-15 on the year. The Hubbers travel to Sheffield (Sheffield, PA) to meet the Wolverines in a non-league match on Thursday, February 6. The Wolverines enter the match with a record of 1-14. Sheffield lost 54-24 in their recent non-league match against Johnsonburg (Johnsonburg, PA)
The Panthers now own a 5-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Coudersport for a North Tier match on Wednesday, February 5. Austin will meet a Falcons squad coming off a 54-42 league win over Galeton (Galeton, PA). The Falcons record now stands at 13-4.
