In Tuesday's league contest, the host Briar Woods Falcons basketball team scored a close 66-65 triumph over the Stone Bridge Bulldogs.

The Falcons (7-12) will now prepare for their contest against Potomac Falls (Sterling, VA). The Panthers go into the Potomac contest with a 16-4 record. In their last contest, Potomac Falls nipped Broad Run (Ashburn, VA), 75-43, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the Loudoun Valley Vikings (Purcellville, VA) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, February 6. Stone Bridge will attempt to better on its 8-7 season record. The Vikings go into the contest with a 11-8 record after their 60-49 league loss to Heritage (Leesburg, VA).
