The Cox Mill Chargers (Concord, NC) basketball edged the visiting Marvin Ridge Mavericks (Waxhaw, NC), 55-54 in Tuesday's non-league bout.

The Chargers now possess a 10-10 record. They play next when they travel to Lake Norman for a 4A Greater Metro bout on Friday, February 7. Cox Mill will play a Wildcats team coming off a 73-67 league win over Hickory Ridge (Harrisburg, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 20-1.

With the loss, Marvin Ridge falls to 9-12 on the campaign. The Mavericks travel to Sun Valley (Monroe, NC) to play the Spartans in a 4A Southern Carolina bout on Friday, February 7. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 7-14. Sun Valley lost 70-45 in their recent league bout against Weddington (Matthews, NC)
