The Chincoteague Ponies basketball team scored 42 points and limited the visiting Northampton Yellowjackets to 32 in the Ponies league triumph on Tuesday.

The Ponies now have a 1-8 record. They play next when they host Holly Grove Christian for a non-league game on Wednesday, February 5. Chincoteague will confront a Eagles team coming off a 45-19 league win over Seaside Christian Academy (Ocean City, MD). The Eagles record now stands at 9-4.

With the loss, Northampton falls to 1-8 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets host Nandua (Onley, VA) to confront the Warriors in a Eastern Shore game on Thursday, February 6.
