February 6, 2025: Chincoteague, VA 23336 Arcadia Firebirds (Oak Hall, VA) boosters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Chincoteague Ponies (Chincoteague, VA), 44-23 in a league match.
With the victory, Arcadia upgrades its record to 10-5 on the year. The Firebirds host Northampton (Eastville, VA) to face the Yellowjackets in a Eastern Shore match on Tuesday, February 11. The Yellowjackets enter the match with a record of 1-9.
The Ponies now sport a 1-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Nandua for a Eastern Shore match on Tuesday, February 11. Chincoteague will face a Warriors squad coming off a 36-33 non-league loss to Middlesex (Saluda, VA). The Warriors record now stands at 7-9.
