The Pirates now hold a 8-1 record. They play next when they host Mexia for a 4A Region 3 District 23 bout on Friday, February 7. La Vega will play a Black Cats squad coming off a 4-1 league win over Meyer (Waco, TX). The Black Cats record now stands at 4-7.
With the loss, Lorena moves to 7-4 on the year. The Leopards travel to China Spring (China Spring, TX) to play the Cougars in a 4A Region 3 District 23 bout on Friday, February 7. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 5-5. China Spring won 1-0 in their recent league bout against Hearne (Hearne, TX)
