February 5, 2024: Hailey, ID 83333 Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Wood River Wolverines (Hailey, ID) and the visiting Minico Spartans (Rupert, ID), saw Wood River's basketball squad hold off Minico by a tally of 63-57.
With the victory, Wood River improves its record to 12-7 on the campaign. The Wolverines host Jerome (Jerome, ID) to confront the Tigers in a 4A Great Basin challenge on Wednesday, February 7. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 5-12. Jerome lost 57-40 in their recent league challenge against Minico (Rupert, ID)
Next up, the Spartans confront the Twin Falls Bruins (Twin Falls, ID) in a 4A Great Basin challenge, on Wednesday, February 7. Minico will attempt to improve on its 9-10 season record. The Bruins come into the challenge with a 11-8 record after their 60-28 non-league win over Century (Pocatello, ID).
