Washington High School Basketball - Lynden overwhelms Anacortes
February 5, 2025: Anacortes, WA 98221 The Lynden Lions basketball team scored 72 points and limited the host Anacortes Seahawks to 23 in the Lions league triumph on Wednesday.
The Lions now possess a 19-0 record. They play next when they host Nooksack Valley for a 1A/2A/3A Northwest game on Friday, February 7. Lynden will confront a Pioneers team coming off a 62-27 league win over Oak Harbor (Oak Harbor, WA). The Pioneers record now stands at 13-6.
With the loss, Anacortes falls to 11-7 on the campaign. The Seahawks host Lakewood (Arlington, WA) to confront the Cougars in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest game on Thursday, February 6. The Cougars go into the game with a record of 9-10. Lakewood won 65-39 in their recent league game against Mt. Baker (Deming, WA)
