New Mexico High School Basketball - Hot Springs tops Cobre
February 6, 2024: Bayard, NM 88023 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Hot Springs Tigers (Truth or Consequences, NM) and the host Cobre Indians (Bayard, NM), saw Hot Springs's basketball squad knock off Cobre by a tally of 53-33.
With the victory, Hot Springs improves its record to 16-5 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Hatch Valley (Hatch, NM) to play the Bears in a 3A District 3 challenge on Thursday, February 8. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 6-12. Hatch Valley lost 67-51 in their recent league challenge against Socorro (Socorro, NM)
Next up, the Indians play the Socorro Warriors (Socorro, NM) in a 3A District 3 challenge, on Thursday, February 8. Cobre will attempt to improve on its 5-16 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 6-11 record after their 67-51 league win over Hatch Valley (Hatch, NM).
