New Mexico High School Basketball - Socorro fells Hatch Valley
February 6, 2024: Socorro, NM 87801 Socorro Warriors (Socorro, NM) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Hatch Valley Bears (Hatch, NM), 67-51 in a league bout.
With the win, Socorro upgrades its record to 6-11 on the season. The Warriors travel to Cobre (Bayard, NM) to play the Indians in a 3A District 3 bout on Thursday, February 8. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 5-16. Cobre lost 53-33 in their recent league bout against Hot Springs (Truth or Consequences, NM)
Next up, the Bears play the Hot Springs Tigers (Truth or Consequences, NM) in a 3A District 3 bout, on Thursday, February 8. Hatch Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 6-12 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 16-5 record after their 53-33 league win over Cobre (Bayard, NM).
