Texas High School Basketball - Lake Highlands nips Pearce
February 6, 2024: Richardson, TX 75080 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Lake Highlands Wildcats (Dallas, TX) and the host Pearce Mustangs (Richardson, TX), saw Lake Highlands's basketball squad hold off Pearce by a count of 47-45.
With the victory, Lake Highlands upgrades its record to 19-12 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Nimitz (Irving, TX) to play the Vikings in a 6A Region I District 7 challenge on Friday, February 9. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 1-19.
Next up, the Mustangs play the MacArthur Cardinals (Irving, TX) in a 6A Region I District 7 challenge, on Friday, February 9. Pearce will attempt to upgrade on its 16-13 season record. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a 5-23 record after their 67-34 league loss to Highland Park (Dallas, TX).
