Texas High School Basketball - Plains holds off New Home
February 6, 2024: Plains, TX 79355 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Plains Cowboys (Plains, TX) and the visiting New Home Leopards (New Home, TX), saw Plains's basketball squad hold off New Home by a tally of 47-42.
With the victory, Plains improves its record to 27-3 on the campaign. The Cowboys host Sundown (Sundown, TX) to confront the Roughnecks in a 2A Region I District 5 challenge on Friday, February 9. The Roughnecks come into the challenge with a record of 4-14. Sundown lost 54-31 in their recent league challenge against Tahoka (Tahoka, TX)
Next up, the Leopards confront the Ropes Eagles (Ropesville, TX) in a 2A Region I District 5 challenge, on Friday, February 9. New Home will attempt to improve on its 16-6 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 22-7 record after their 84-31 league win over Post (Post, TX).
