Freeman Mavericks (Richmond, VA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Maggie Walker (Richmond, VA), 49-39 in a league bout.

With the win, Freeman upgrades its record to 12-8 on the season. The Mavericks travel to Godwin (Richmond, VA) to play the Eagles in a Colonial bout on Friday, February 9. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 13-7. Godwin won 50-9 in their recent league bout against J.R. Tucker (Henrico, VA)

Next up, the play the Colonial Heights Colonials (Colonial Heights, VA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 13. Maggie Walker will attempt to upgrade on its 7-13 season record.
