West Virginia High School Basketball - Robert C. Byrd nips Fairmont Senior
February 6, 2025: Clarksburg, WV 26301 In Thursday's league contest, the host Robert C. Byrd Eagles basketball team scored a close 52-50 triumph over the Fairmont Senior Polar Bears.
The Eagles (9-3) will now prepare for their contest against Buckhannon-Upshur (Buckhannon, WV). The Buccaneers go into the Big Ten contest with a 10-5 record. In their last contest, Buckhannon-Upshur nipped Grafton (Grafton, WV), 54-32, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Polar Bears battle the Elkins Tigers (Elkins, WV) in a Big Ten contest, on Saturday, February 8. Fairmont Senior will attempt to better on its 9-3 season record. The Tigers go into the contest with a 5-7 record after their 62-49 league loss to Bridgeport (Bridgeport, WV).
