In Thursday's league contest, the host Troup County Tigers basketball team scored a big 66-15 triumph over the Spalding Jaguars.

The Tigers (14-7) will now prepare for their contest against Fayette County (Fayetteville, GA). The Tigers go into the AAA Region 2 contest with a 19-5 record. In their last contest, Fayette County smashed Whitewater (Fayetteville, GA), 70-27, in a league contest.
