Illinois High School Basketball - Lincoln-Way West holds off Shepard
February 7, 2022: Palos Heights, IL 60463 Fans at Monday's non-league contest between the Lincoln-Way West Warriors (New Lenox, IL) and the host Shepard Astros (Palos Heights, IL), saw Lincoln-Way West's basketball team get by Shepard by a score of 68-64.
The Warriors now sport a 11-15 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bradley-Bourbonnais for a SouthWest Suburban - Red contest on Friday, February 11. Lincoln-Way West will battle a Boilermakers team coming off a 79-69 league win over Lincoln-Way Central (New Lenox, IL). The Boilermakers record now stands at 20-7.
The Astros (10-17) will now prepare for their contest against Minooka (Minooka, IL). The Indians come into the non-league contest with a 16-9 record. In their last contest, Minooka was nudged by Maine South (Park Ridge, IL), 70-55, in a non-league contest.
