George School Cougars (Newtown, PA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Westtown (West Chester, PA), 70-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, George School upgrades its record to 19-6 on the season. The Cougars host Academy of the New Church (Bryn Athyn, PA) to clash with the Lions in a Friends Schools bout on Friday, February 10. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 17-4. Academy of the New Church won 63-49 in their recent non-league bout against Friends Select (Philadelphia, PA)

Next up, the clash with the Patrick School Celtics (Hillside, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 10. Westtown will attempt to upgrade on its 6-6 season record. The Celtics go into the bout with a 6-12 record after their 68-52 non-league win over St. Thomas Aquinas (Edison, NJ).
