The Harlingen South Hawks tipped the visiting Weslaco East Wildcats basketball team by a final score of 48-41 in Tuesday's league game.

In their next game, the Hawks face the Veterans Memorial Chargers (Brownsville, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 32 game, on Friday, February 10. Harlingen South will attempt to move on its 20-10 season record. The Chargers enter the game with a 19-12 record after their 62-47 league win over Edcouch-Elsa (Edcouch, TX).

With the defeat, Weslaco East moves to 21-12 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Porter (Brownsville, TX) to face the Cowboys in a 5A Region IV District 32 game on Friday, February 10.
