Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Mt. Pleasant Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, TX) and the host Longview Lobos (Longview, TX), saw Mt. Pleasant's basketball squad overcome Longview by a tally of 56-45.

With the victory, Mt. Pleasant improves its record to 31-0 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Marshall (Marshall, TX) to play the Mavericks in a 5A Region II District 15 challenge on Friday, February 10. The Mavericks come into the challenge with a record of 14-20. Marshall lost 51-44 in their recent league challenge against Pine Tree (Longview, TX)

Next up, the Lobos play the Tyler Lions (Tyler, TX) in a 5A Region II District 15 challenge, on Friday, February 10. Longview will attempt to improve on its 23-6 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 20-8 record after their 71-59 league win over Texas (Texarkana, TX).
