February 7, 2023: Monticello, IL 61856 The Pontiac Indians (Pontiac, IL) basketball felled the host Monticello Sages (Monticello, IL), 73-61 in Tuesday's league test.
The Indians (20-6) will now prepare for their test against Rantoul (Rantoul, IL). The Eagles go into the Illini Prairie test with a 8-20 record. In their last test, Rantoul went down by St. Joseph-Ogden (St. Joseph, IL), 64-38, in a league test.
The Sages now own a 14-11 record. They play next when they travel to St. Thomas More for a Illini Prairie test on Friday, February 10. Monticello will encounter a Sabers squad coming off a 46-41 league win over Paxton-Buckley-Loda (Paxton, IL). The Sabers record now stands at 18-10.
