Connecticut High School Basketball - Wolcott tops Naugatuck
February 7, 2023: Wolcott, CT 06716 Wolcott Eagles (Wolcott, CT) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Naugatuck Greyhounds (Naugatuck, CT), 56-44 in a league bout.
With the victory, Wolcott upgrades its record to 8-7 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Torrington (Torrington, CT) to play the Raiders in a Naugatuck Valley - Iron bout on Friday, February 10. The Raiders come into the bout with a record of 9-7. Torrington lost 66-62 in their recent non-league bout against Gilbert (Winsted, CT)
Next up, the Greyhounds play the Watertown Indians (Watertown, CT) in a Naugatuck Valley - Iron bout, on Friday, February 10. Naugatuck will attempt to upgrade on its 8-8 season record. The Indians come into the bout with a 1-15 record after their 57-54 league loss to St. Paul Catholic (Bristol, CT).
