Connecticut High School Basketball - Trumbull tops Staples
February 7, 2023: Westport, CT 06880 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Trumbull Eagles (Trumbull, CT) and the host Staples Wreckers (Westport, CT), saw Trumbull's basketball squad knock off Staples by a count of 58-38.
With the victory, Trumbull upgrades its record to 10-6 on the campaign. The Eagles host St. Joseph (Trumbull, CT) to play the Cadets in a Fairfield County challenge on Friday, February 10. The Cadets come into the challenge with a record of 14-3. St. Joseph won 53-31 in their recent league challenge against McMahon (Norwalk, CT)
Next up, the Wreckers play the Bridgeport Central Hilltoppers (Bridgeport, CT) in a Fairfield County challenge, on Friday, February 10. Staples will attempt to upgrade on its 6-11 season record. The Hilltoppers come into the challenge with a 1-15 record after their 71-34 league loss to New Canaan (New Canaan, CT).
