New Hanover Wildcats (Wilmington, NC) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC), 47-42 in a league match.

With the victory, New Hanover advances its record to 13-2 on the year. The Wildcats host Kinston (Kinston, NC) to meet the Vikings in a non-league match on Saturday, February 8. The Vikings enter the match with a record of 10-5. Kinston won 66-53 in their recent non-league match against South Lenoir (Deep Run, NC)
