The Ansonia Chargers basketball team scored 82 points and held the visiting Woodland Regional Hawks to 76 in the Chargers league triumph on Tuesday.

The Chargers now sport a 7-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wilby for a non-league contest on Wednesday, February 9. Ansonia will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 82-70 league loss to Crosby (Waterbury, CT). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-9.

The Hawks (6-10) will now prepare for their contest against Oxford (Oxford, CT). The Wolverines enter the Naugatuck Valley - Copper contest with a 5-7 record. In their last contest, Oxford nudged Shepaug Valley (Washington, CT), 69-59, in a non-league contest.
