Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Howe Lions (Howe, OK) and the host Vian Wolverines (Vian, OK), saw Howe's basketball squad hold off Vian by a count of 58-54.

With the victory, Howe upgrades its record to 8-15 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Broken Bow (Broken Bow, OK) to play the Savages in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 9. The Savages come into the challenge with a record of 10-9. Broken Bow won 46-40 in their recent non-league challenge against Valliant (Valliant, OK)
