Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the West Point Green Wave (West Point, MS) and the visiting New Hope Trojans (Columbus, MS), saw West Point's basketball squad hold off New Hope by a tally of 41-38.

With the victory, West Point improves its record to 17-7 on the campaign. The Green Wave travel to Pontotoc (Pontotoc, MS) to confront the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 9. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 25-1. Pontotoc won 48-31 in their recent non-league challenge against Lafayette (Oxford, MS)
