In Saturday's league test, the Fuquay - Varina Bengals (Fuquay-Varina, NC) basketball squad trounced the host Corinth Holders Pirates (Wendell, NC), by a score of 68-36.

Next, the Bengals encounter the South Garner Titans (Garner, NC) in a 4A Greater Neuse River test, on Friday, February 14. Fuquay - Varina will attempt to improve on its 4-19 season record.

The Pirates (2-19) will now prepare for their test against Clayton (Clayton, NC). The Comets come into the 4A Greater Neuse River test with a 13-8 record. In their last test, Clayton bounced Willow Spring (Fuquay-Varina, NC), 60-58, in a league test.
