In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Minden Whippets basketball team scored a close 65-59 win over the Gothenburg Swedes.

The Whippets (19-2) will now prepare for their contest against Adams Central (Hastings, NE). The Patriots come into the non-league contest with a 7-11 record. In their last contest, Adams Central was tipped by Kearney Catholic (Kearney, NE), 53-45, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Swedes battle the Ogallala Indians (Ogallala, NE) in a C1 District 11 contest, on Tuesday, February 11. Gothenburg will attempt to better on its 16-2 season record.
