The Sweet Grass County Sheepherders (Big Timber, MT) basketball edged the visiting Shepherd Mustangs (Shepherd, MT), 44-38 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Sheepherders now possess a 10-4 record. They play next when they host Red Lodge for a B District 4 bout on Saturday, February 15. Sweet Grass County will play a Rams team coming off a 63-32 league win over Joliet (Joliet, MT). The Rams record now stands at 6-13.
