Nebraska High School Basketball - Dundy County-Stratton thwarts Southern Valley

The Dundy County-Stratton Tigers (Benkelman, NE) basketball knocked off the visiting Southern Valley Eagles (Oxford, NE), 60-40 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Tigers (17-4) will now prepare for their test against Chase County (Imperial, NE). The Longhorns go into the non-league test with a 7-11 record. In their last test, Chase County notched a victory over Hitchcock County (Trenton, NE), 55-53, in a non-league test.

The Eagles now own a 8-11 record. They play next when they travel to Axtell for a D1 District 9 test on Friday, February 17. Southern Valley will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 61-31 non-league win over Southwest (Bartley, NE). The Wildcats record now stands at 10-9.
