South Dakota High School Basketball - Mt. Vernon/Plankinton holds off Ethan
February 9, 2023: Mt. Vernon, SD 57363 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Titans (Mt. Vernon, SD) and the visiting Ethan Rustlers (Ethan, SD), saw Mt. Vernon/Plankinton's basketball squad hold off Ethan by a tally of 63-62.
With the victory, Mt. Vernon/Plankinton improves its record to 12-4 on the campaign. The Titans travel to More (Rapid City, SD) to confront the Cavaliers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 11. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a record of 15-2. More won 75-46 in their recent non-league challenge against Red Cloud (Pine Ridge, SD)
Next up, the Rustlers confront the Avon Pirates (Avon, SD) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 10. Ethan will attempt to improve on its 13-3 season record. The Pirates come into the challenge with a 3-13 record after their 50-30 league loss to Tripp-Delmont/Armour (Armour, SD).
