January 10, 2023: Mt. Vernon, SD 57363 In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Titans (Mt. Vernon, SD) basketball squad felled the visiting Wessington Springs Spartans (Wessington Springs, SD), by a margin of 84-68.
The Titans (4-1) will now prepare for their outing against Platte/Geddes (Platte, SD). The Black Panthers go into the A Region 5 outing with a 5-0 record. In their last outing, Platte/Geddes thwarted Corsica/Stickney (Corsica, SD), 46-39, in a non-league outing.
The Spartans now own a 2-4 record. They play next when they host Andes Central/Dakota Christian for a B Region 5 outing on Tuesday, January 24.
