Barrington Eagles (Barrington, RI) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Rogers Vikings (Newport, RI), 60-41 in a league bout.

With the win, Barrington upgrades its record to 15-7 on the season.

Next up, the Vikings play the Ponaganset Chieftains (North Scituate, RI) in a State Championship bout, on Monday, February 13. Rogers will attempt to upgrade on its 10-8 season record. The Chieftains go into the bout with a 13-6 record after their 69-59 league win over Classical (Providence, RI).
