The Johnston Speedboys topped the visiting Watersmeet Nimrods basketball team by a final score of 43-34 in Thursday's league game.

In their next game, the Speedboys face the Wright Red Devils (Ironwood, MI) in a non-league game, on Monday, February 13. Johnston will attempt to move on its 3-15 season record.

With the defeat, Watersmeet moves to 6-10 on the year. The Nimrods host Ontonagon (Ontonagon, MI) to face the Gladiators in a Copper Mountain game on Monday, February 13.
